We have been making salt dough this week to make imitation Stone Age and Bronze Age jewellery. Watch this space for some more photos of the finished pieces.

Round the world maths
Inquisitive children!
Not content with out theoretical Up experience Kingfishers wondered how far a balloon would really travel. The best way to find out is to do it so we let off 6 helium balloon with our address on to see how far they might get. We all have our fingers crossed that we might get a letter from lands far away!
Up houses
Welcome to our world week
We've had a busy week in Kingfishers getting involved in 'Welcome to our world' week. We decided to base the week on the film 'Up' and asked the children,
"If you could move your house anywhere in the world where would you go?"
This led to lots of discussion with each group eventually deciding on a country to research.
With the research complete on China, Kenya, the Sahara Desert, New York and Russia the children put together their own beautiful Up houses covered in facts. We have also tasted some foods from around the world.
